Files for Foundry Core Finishing

The production of foundry cores is a highly automated process. In many cases, however, the cores must be finished manually with appropriate filing operations. The core material is particularly abrasive, so classic steel files, while inexpensive, quickly lose their sharpness.

Diamond files remedy this. The diamond retains its sharpness much longer and allows the finishing work to be done in less time. In addition to the shapes in the catalogue, files with customised geometries can be developed.
